Li Min Bakery & Bistro Reviews
I got a birthday cake here, not too sweet and filled with lots of fruit filling. The cake interior was sponge and moist. I was lucky to get a cake here without needing to preorder. The staff was friendly, they speak mandarin, cantonese, taishanese and English. Parking here is a bit tough, but doable. They also have lots of fresh baked goods for sale too, or slices of cake as well.
It's a bit dark inside and a bit run down. Surprisingly the pineapple bun was very soft and the salty dumpling (mochi style) was good too. Decent prices under $2/bun. It is kind of next to Master Kong if you want some Asian food.
BBQ Buns are AWESOME! Walk in and it's bakery style but there is restaurant seating. Bathroom is clean and accessible. They have hot drinks and a cooler with milks, teas, and sports drinks. I asked the woman at the counter to describe the items in the case and she was very helpful. I got the baked BBQ buns, a sesame roll, and a kind-of pig-in-blanket hotdog thing. Wow! She heated the buns for me in the microwave (20 seconds) but the others at display temperature. Everything was great. 5-stars. Parking lot is dark and it can be hard to spot if you're not paying attention. The turn-in is immediately after the SE 87th if you're headed West. Check this place out!
I have been on a savory pastry craving lately, and this place is still one of my favorites in town. Their prices are probably the best in town and have a wide selection of items. I just found out that you can also order some steam rice roll (I ordered it with bbq pork and egg). The rice roll here is great and you get a good value for everything.
Bakery was so fresh and yummy. This will be my new place for Chinese baked goods! Prices were good too!
